Booked two dives through our hotel. In advance I phoned someone from the Dive Center and asked about the dive points, as I have already done a few dives myself and did not want to experience any nasty surprises. I was told that we will go to Tuzlu Ada and the canyon. Unfortunately, we drove out to the coast for about 10 minutes instead, in order to take about 2 hours with beginners at 3-4 meters underwater photos with fed fish. Of course you could then purchase the photos at overpriced prices. After a small lunch on board we drove on for another 10 minutes. There the beginners could dive for about 15-20 minutes. We experienced divers then let them dive separately. Approx. 30-35 minutes. The view was about 5 meters. There is absolutely nothing under water. Neither fish nor anything else. The captain and crew were nice, hence the 2 stars. Otherwise it would only be 1 star. It's a shame to be lied to.

Bought the photos. They gave us the wrong photos. I sent them a message to send us the right photos and they keep saying "I will upload later" and there are no photos.

For the good price 50 EUR we had a great first time dive experience. Maybe it was a bit a lack of training, but I guess it is easier to pick up in a water :D

Not the best place to appreciate Scubadivint in Turkey No welcome when coming on board No real briefing before the dives No real try to give some interest to the dives... Not so much effort... or just if you come to make your first dive... Bread feeding to artificially gather some fishes... nice way to make nice pictures that you will sell later... Quite disappointing ! If you have some skills in diving, try another place...

Yetkin Diving Center Okurcalar Team tries hard, but I doubt I will come back. Short version: •Super friendly dive team, who bend over backwards to make it an enjoyable trip for everyone. Team overworked as it is difficult to cater different needs of 30 first time divers and a single experienced diver at same time. •Dive sites: Rock faces / ridge dives. 9-15 m and a few short tunnels. Some fish and a few (shy) sea bass. Given the area you may encounter a sea turtle, but don’t count on it. •Blearing loud Turkish Techno music from to big speakers most of the trip. •Equipment worn but in functioning condition •Quality control problems when filling dive tanks – random pressure in tanks (140-190 bar). Full version: Having dived a number of times in the Alanya area of Turkey, I decided to give Okurcalar a try and booked one of the usual day whole day trips (including transport, 2 dives, lunch etc.) with the local excursion pusher. Being a seasoned diver (200+ dives), I go diving to relax, keep up my skills and enjoy and explorer the underwater world. Picked up at hotel at 8:40 and driven to a small harbour at Okurcalar, where three dive boats were moored. Boat departed harbour at: 10:00 ... with blearing Turkish Techno Music enemating from 2 large speakers... Unfortunately they do not had out earplugs. First dive sight reached after 15 min. First impressions: The equipment i standard Scubapro equipment used by dive centers. The overall condition was worn -dive suits were tattered, weight belts were frayed, some of the low preasure hoses on regulators were cracked / missing surface, so threads were bared and BCD were quite worn. Quality control does not seem to be a major concern - When I get handed a tank, I expect it to have at least 200 bar or more of pressure. I rejected the first two cylinders with 140 and 160 bar, before I finally accepted a cylinder with 190 bar. Unfortunately I ended up on a dive boat, where I among the approx. 30 guests (mostly Russian) who were going to dive, was the only one, who was a certified diver. The divers were split into 6 groups and the groups of 5 divers were taken out for a dive. each group was fitted with equipment and taken for a dive. As I was in group 6 I did not get to dive before 13:00, where the instructor took me out solo for a 40 min dive along rocks. All in all a good dive with a few tunnels - debth 9-15 meters. Lunch consisted of the usual fried fish / spaghetti with tomato sauce, salad and bread. Second stop was a little further along the shore line. A bit of rocks and a sandy bottom at 6-8 meters with a bit of kelp. Not very interesting dive, where I simply tagged along while the instructors were diving with the “first timers”. Not interesting but better than sitting on the boat. On the trip back to the harbor, commemoration certificates were handed out to those who had done their first dive - Though they had to do a dance to the loud Techno Music to receive the certificate. Summation: The first time divers in all probability had a good experience. For me, this was a wasted day where I was away from 8:40 to 17:30 and only had approx 70 minutes of dive time in total.

Horribe instructor, we went scuba diving and my buddy had ear problems, after signing the instructor he ignored it and kept diving. I had to go up with my buddy because he could not keep diving. When my buddy got back on the boat the rest of the crew gave us dirty eye's for the rest of the day and i could not finish my dive. The instructor when he finished his dive just laughed at us. Unbelievably unproffesional and dangerous to dive here! Oh and the food was gross and cold

I did their tourist diving program in october and it cost me 35 eur including pickup from hotel and okay salad lunch (hotel prices are 55-60 eur+, book from bazaar/from club). The instructors are nice and try hard, though same cannot be said about the old guys smoking and running the bar. Standard two dives, first 10 minute dive where you are first familiarised with basic diving and there is a photoshoot with fishes and you are hand held the entire time. There is also a second dive where you have more freedom to move and area had bigger fishes. You will pay out of your nose if you purchase videos, 50 eur for videos of 2. I recommend waterproof gopro/phone case for 2. dive. If you do this dive PAY ATTENTION to security brief. Due to focus on filming and 3-4 instructors per 5 man group there will be times where instructor is not focused on you. If something happens you need to know what to do save yourself, at the bare minimum know how to hit emergency flotation button. Ship was old but diving equipment was in good condition when I did the dive.
