★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The prettiest park in Izmit/Kocaeli where you can walk, cycle, or do any other activities. The park is well maintained so I gotta say the local government is doing a great job to maintain it very clean and safe. There are some modern playgrounds in the park where kids can play safely away from the water, so don't worry letting them play and run around the park. The park also has one retired fighter jet F4 Phantom from Turkish Airforce.
You can grab your picnic stuff and just have a very enjoyable time sitting by the water. Absolutely recommend visiting!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice and calm place, definitely recommend it. You can have a walk or even borrow a bike from the Belediye and enjoy your time. A bonus is that it is not overcrowded unlike Istanbul.
