★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 6’ncı yüzyılda inşa edilen Mort Şmuni Kilisesi, tarihi boyunca farklı zamanlarda üç onarımdan geçmiştir. Birinci onarımı 1125 yılında Mardin Metropoliti Yuhanon tarafından gerçekleştirilmiştir. Kilise’nin ikinci onarımı 1704 yılında Patrik II. Cercis döneminde yapıldığı sanılmaktadır. Üçüncü onarımı ise 1869 yılında Patrik II. Yakup döneminde yapılmıştır.
Built in the 6th century, the Mort Shmuni Church has undergone three repairs at different times throughout its history. The first restoration was carried out in 1125 by the Mardin Metropolitan Yuhanon. The second restoration of the Church in 1704, Patriarch II. It is thought to have been built during the Cercis period. The third restoration of the Patriarch II. It was built during the reign of Jacob.
