B.C. Miletos, which gained its autonomy with the special interest of the Roman emperors in 38 years and reached the metropolitan level among the Ionian cities, was built on a very large area. Miletus theater, one of the most beautiful examples of the Greco-Roman type, welcomes you at the first entrance to the city. The theater, which was built for 5300 people in the Hellenistic period, was increased to 15 thousand people by increasing its capacity with the Roman period. The surviving parts of the stage and the galleries between the floors keep the theater atmosphere alive. The vaulted passages in the theater are very well preserved and you can reach the port behind it by passing through the passages in the theater. The city has 4 big ports. The first two are the port with Lions, which can be closed with a chain connected between 2 lion statues. The third port is called the port of Athena because of its proximity to the temple of Athena. The beach to the east of the city was the fourth port.

The place impresses with its large-scale and amazing beauty. The ancient theater has been preserved very well, the huge interior rooms have remained intact. There are not many people, the place is not very popular yet. Mostly Turks walk, there are practically no foreigners. You can safely, without haste, go around everything, inspect and take cool pictures.
