Yöre halkının dahi malesef çoğu ziyaret etmemiş, uzaktan izlemiştir. Ulaşımı çok rahat değil. Biz vadide yürüyerek ulaştık. Tabela ve bilgilendirme levhaları hiç yok. Seyri güzel ziyaret edilesi bir yer ?
Unfortunately, most of the local people did not visit and watched from afar. Its transportation is not very comfortable. We reached the valley on foot. There are no signage and information boards. It is a beautiful place to visit.

The Laçin Kapılıkaya Anıtsal Kaya Mezarı rock tomb is located between Laçin and Kırkdilim, 27 km north of Çorum, on rocky, steep and rugged land formed by rift valleys broken by the river, on the northwest corner of a rock that is following Extends north. The exact position is described differently in several sources. The area marked here was my location, where I photographed the rock tombs from a parking area (GPS: 40.756282, 34.910492) - but are located almost 300 m southeast, slightly to the left of the lonely mountain peak in front (GPS: 40.754241, 34.912460). I hope that it will now be corrected in Google Maps. The photos are from my trip on July 22nd, 2017 - but I expect to see them again in a few days on our 2020 tour.

Ülkemizde çok karşılaşılmaz bu amaçla ayrılmış yerlerle. Tabela falan da yok. Yinede bir bakmak istedim. Karşıma çıkan manzara bu.
It is not very common in our country with places reserved for this purpose. There's no sign. I still wanted to take a look. This is the view before me.

Laçin Kapilikaya Rock Tomb - Corum It is located on the north-west corner of a rock mass extending to the north, on an uneven terrain formed by very steep, rocky deep valleys, in the Kırkdilim Locality of Laçin District, approximately 27 kilometers north of Çorum. Kapılıkaya is a Hellenistic Period rock tomb dating back to the BC. It is dated to the 2nd century. On the door of the burial chamber, the inscription "Ikezios" and a cross motif colored with ocher are striking. The burial chamber has a square plan and there are dead figures carved in the form of niches on the right and left of the entrance. Tavsiye ederim...
We had a nice event with Hitit Mountaineering Club today. People who don't know that can find it difficult. Need to know the route Some nasty creatures wrote, etc. No problem except ugly image. Looks vs nice. It dates back to BC in the Hellenistic period. You're dealing with a lot of history. I advise...

This place is amazing. Its a Helenistik era rock cut tomb where the tomb is cut away from the mountain itself. Its not a facad, you can walk all the way around the back of the tomb. According to an inscription above the entrance to the chamber the tomb was built for IKEZIOS but beyond this not much is known. Note that this pin is set on the view point from the highway not at the tomb itself though from the viewpoint it's easy to see how to get down to it. There's a brief, steep, hike from the rough dirt road up to the platform at the foot of the tomb.
