Kalenin yapımında, depremde yıkılmış olan dünyanın yedi harikasından biri Mausoleion’un taşlarını kullanmışlardır. Kalede, Fransız, İtalyan, İngiliz, Alman ve İspanyol (Yılanlı) kuleleri bulunmaktadır. Rodos adası 1522 yılında Türkler tarafından alındıktan sonra, şövalyeler Bodrum ve çevresini 5 Ocak 1523’de terk etmişlerdir. 1895’den itibaren hapishane olarak kullanılan Kale, Fransız ve İngilizlerin I. Dünya Savaşı sırasında 26-28 mayıs 1915’de bombalamaları ile yarı yıkık hale gelerek terk edilmiştir. Günümüzde Bodrum Kalesi içinde, Bodrum Sualtı Arkeoloji Müzesi yer almaktadır. Ülkemizin tek, Dünya’nın ise en önemli sualtı arkeoloji müzelerinden biridir. 1995 yılında Avrupa’da Yılın Müzesi yarışmasında “Özel Övgü” ödülünü almış olan müzede, sualtı kazı ve araştırmalarından gelen eserlerin yanı sıra Bodrum ve çevresindeki kazı ve araştırmalardan ele geçen eserler de sergilenmektedir. Amphoralar, hamam, MS VII. yüzyıl Doğu Roma Gemisi, camlar, MS XI. yüzyıl Serçe Limanı Cam Batığı, Yılanlı Kule, Sikke ve Mücevherat Salonu, Karyalı Prenses, İngiliz Kulesi, Tunç Çağ Batıkları, Zindan ve Komutan Kulesi Bodrum Sualtı Arkeoloji Müzesi olarak hizmet vermektedir... Bodrum Castle & Bodrum Underwater Archeology Museum Bodrum Castle was built between 1406-1522 by Saint Jean Knights between two ports on a rocky peninsula surrounded by sea on three sides. In the construction of the castle, one of the seven wonders of the world destroyed in the earthquake used the stones of Mausoleion. There are French, Italian, English, German and Spanish (Serpentine) towers in the castle. After the island of Rhodes was taken by the Turks in 1522, the knights left Bodrum and its surroundings on January 5, 1523. The Castle, which was used as a prison since 1895, was abandoned by the French and British bombing on 26-28 May 1915 during the First World War. Today, Bodrum Underwater Archeology Museum is located within Bodrum Castle. It is one of the only underwater archeology museums of our country and the most important in the world. Nice castle and exhibitions but it is a pity that you could not enter any of the towers. The 65Lt admission ticket is a bit expensive. I recommend.

Kırdığım 1 puanın sebepleri ise; 1- kaldığım oda da küvet vardı, duş alırken perde yeterli olmuyor ve su yere akıyordu. Çıkarken kaydım. 2- kahvaltıda omlet istemiştim, görevli beyfendi zorla hazır olan menemen ve haşlanmış yumurtaya yönlendirmeye çalıştı. Although the price was 1 click up according to the season I stayed, in general the rooms, staff, breakfast were fine.
