DOWN HABIP EFENDI MOSQUE The mosque located in the Lower Habip Efendi neighborhood of Erzurum reflects the architectural features of the Ottoman Period in the 18th century and the date of construction is unknown. It has a flat roof covering carried by four wooden columns. In its original form, the earth was covered with a roof from the outside and today it is covered with a roof. There are three windows in the east, two in the west and two in the south. The mosque is accessed by a wooden winged door on the north wall. The entrance is carried by five wooden post poles and the exit is through the mosque. The mihrab is made of stone and mukarnas kavsar. The wooden pulpit, which has no artistic value, has a simple appearance. The wooden minaret in the northwest corner was later closed with sheet metal. Wooden minaret in Erzurum in the past, while the number is a rare feature today. The mosque has lost its originality at various times, especially with the repairs made in recent years.
