If you happen to be in Bodrum, you can definitely stop by near sunset and get very beautiful photos. Only 5 minutes by car from the center of Bodrum. It is on the hill and has a great view. Bodrum’daki yel değirmenlerinin tam olarak kaç tarihinde inşa edildiği bilinmese de 18. yüzyıl içerisinde inşa edildiği biliniyor. 1970’li yıllara kadar da aktif olarak kullanılmış. 1970’ten sonra ise atıl halde kalmış ve Bodrum’un en güzel sembollerinden biri olmuş. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome historical place but I was disappointed to see that these buildings looks like abandoned by local government. They are not fully protected.
Ancient wooden wrecks must be placed under sone protection, however they are just laid under the sky and I'm afraid that after some time thay could be lost forever.
Other mills are dirty inside and are under destroying outside by weather and people circumstances.
