 It is located on the shore of an artificial lake teeming with mullet (pelengas). Especially beautiful in the evening with a cup of coffee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ever hear of a bank that doesn't want to change money? Me neither until today.
I went in there to change Euros into TL. Waited 45 minutes. Finally it was my turn. Was told that because I didn't have an account there they wouldn't change my money!!!
Turgutreis is a resort that attracts people from all over the world, yet here we have a bank in the marina that won't change money (presumably some of the boat owners are not Turkish so also won't have an account here so they also can't change their foreign currency). What an utter farce!
Hopefully this cowboy outfit called Garanti Bank will be closed down so that a real bank can take it's place.
