★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Castle itself is amazing. Built in 1153. Almost 800 years! Amazing that it has lasted so long. It would be nice if the city of Kars would have someone on duty to empty garbage containers and at least attempt to keep the castle are clean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The castle as so much castles in turkey, having a great location of the city, the up part, which make you enjoying the greatest view of the city from up, especially in the sunset time, and after the sunset when all lights around turn on, it's cold in winter, but I like it while the castle dressing a nice white snow coat, I would like to visit again one day, I recommended ❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow wow wow!!! This is a must if you visit Kars. Allow 90 to 120 minutes to wander around. Take a camera and snap away. We visited in January 2022, and there was snow on the ground. There is a little tea shop at the top, but although it was open, we did not grab anything to drink/eat.
It got really cold when the sun set.
There are toilets available.
