He was born in 1949, in the district of Köprübaşı, Beşköy, Yılmazlar neighborhood of Trabzon. He won first place in the contest held by Milliyet newspaper during his primary school years. He continued his education in Istanbul Kabataş High School for Boys. He graduated at the top of the term in 1966. He came first in the university entrance exam and entered Istanbul University. He continued his education at Purdue University in Indiana in the USA and graduated from there as an electrical engineer. He completed his doctorate at the University of Missouri. lecturer at Boğaziçi University, he returned to Turkey after a period of continued academic study at these universities did. On February 5, 1993, he and his wife and two children entered a traffic accident near Bolu-Gerede by entering the reverse road on the highway. While Adnan Kahveci and his wife lost their lives at the time of the incident, their 17-year-old child Aslıhan Kahveci survived injured, but he entered a vegetative state and died 10 days later. Adnan Kahveci's grave with his wife and daughter is in Kartal-Yakacık Cemetery on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. The young people that Turgut Özal met especially through his son Ahmet Özal, who was educated in the USA, and later served in various state institutions were called the Princes of Özal. Among them were important names such as Cüneyt Ülsever and Engin Civan.

The building where it is located was formerly Huriye Süer Anatolian High School. Later, the building became an educational institution for "special children". Adnan Kahveci primary school was also built in the garden of Huriye Süer Anatolian High School. The photograph belongs to the year 95 when it was first opened.
