Zülali Cami

A very old mosque had a fire nearby. Although the exact date of construction of the mosque, which is located next to the tombs of Zülali and Celali, two halves of the Sultan Divani period, is unknown, it is estimated that it was built in the 14th century. Since the name of the mosque is found in the records dated 1863, it is certain that it was built before this date. The mosque, which was not repaired from 1882 until 1965, was restored by the Mosque Association in 1965 and took its current form. Cultural assets are a concept used for all assets that have been subject to social life and have culturally unique value. Our aim in this project is to research all kinds of items that can be included in the definition of "cultural property" found in Anatolia, the Balkans and its near geography and to make an inventory. Regardless of whether it is registered or not, we evaluate cultural assets within the framework of the criteria we have determined and include them in our database.
