★ ★ ★ ★ ★ T.C. Ziraat Bankası A.Ş., Türkiye'deki üç kamu bankasından biri. 1863'te, Osmanlı Devleti döneminde Mithat Paşa tarafından kurulan Memleket Sandıkları'nın devamını niteliğindedir.
Ahmet Şefik Mithat Paşa, 1863 yılında Pirot Kasabası'nda kurduğu ilk Memleket Sandıkları oluştururken Türk gelenekleri arasında zaten varolan ve karşılıklı yardımlaşma esasına dayanan imece geleneğinden esinlenmiştir.
1867 yılında “Memleket Sandıkları Nizamnamesi”nin yürürlüğe girmesiyle Osmanlı Devleti’nin her yanında Sandıklar faaliyete başlamış ve uzun yıllar başarıyla hizmet vermiştir.
15 Ağustos 1888’de Menafi Sandıkları’nın yerine işlevlerini üstlenecek modern finans kuruluşu olarak Ziraat Bankası resmen kurulmuş, o tarihte faaliyette bulunan Menafi Sandıkları da Banka şubelerine dönüştürülerek faaliyete başlamıştır.
T. C. Ziraat Bankasi, one of the three state-owned banks in Turkey. It is the continuation of the Homeland Funds, which was founded by Mithat Pasha in 1863 during the Ottoman Empire period.
Ahmet Şefik Mithat Pasha was inspired by the tradition of imece, which already existed among Turkish traditions and was based on mutual aid, when he established the first Homeland Coffers in Pirot Town in 1863.
In 1867, with the entry into force of the "Homeland Funds Regulation", the Funds started to operate all over the Ottoman Empire and served successfully for many years.
Ziraat Bank was officially established on August 15, 1888 as a modern financial institution that would replace the Benefit Funds, and the Benefit Funds operating at that time were transformed into Bank branches and started their operations.
