Giriş kapısı üzerindeki kitabesine göre yapı; Katipzâde Tahir Efendi tarafından H.1339(M.1920-21) ve H.1342(M.1923-24) yılları arasında inşa ve tamir ettirilmiştir. Kare planlı, tek mekanlı harimin üzeri tromp geçişli kubbeyle örtülüdür. Kuzey cephede yer alan giriş kapısının önünde, iki adet devşirme sütuna oturan sundurma bulunur. Harimde güney duvardaki mihrap ve sağında yer alan ahşap minber çok sade tutulmuştur. Kuzeyde ise ahşap kadınlar mahfili yer alır. Caminin minaresi; çatı üzerinde yükselen, kısa gövdeli, balkon biçimli şerefeye sahip Tokat'ta sık karşılaşılan 19.yy sonu 20.yy başı ahşap minarelerindendir.
Yolbaşı Mosque is located in Soğukpınar Mahallesi Bey Street. According to the inscription on the entrance door; It was built and repaired by Katipzâde Tahir Efendi between H.1339 (M.1920-21) and H.1342 (M.1923-24). The square-planned, single-spaced sanctuary is covered with a dome with squinches. In front of the entrance door on the north façade, there is a porch resting on two spolia columns. The mihrab on the south wall and the wooden pulpit on its right are kept very simple. In the north, there is a wooden women's gathering place. The minaret of the mosque; It is one of the wooden minarets of the late 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, which is common in Tokat, with a short body and balcony-shaped balcony rising on the roof.
