★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arsemia Antik Kenti, Nemrut güzergâhı üzerindeki bir başka ören yeri. Kommagene medeniyetinin bir dönem başkentiymiş burası. Kale olarak da adlandırılan Arsemia, savunma amacıyla kullanılmasının yanısıra dini amaçlı tüneller kazmak için de kullanılmış.
Arsemia’ya doğru çıkarken, kullanılan dar patika yolu üzerinde bir heykel ve su sarnıcına rastlanıyor. Yukarı doğru devam ettiğinizde Arsemia’da, Kommagene Krallığı’nı zirveye taşıyan Kral I. Antiochus’un babası I. Mithridates‘e ait bir mezar bulunuyor. I. Antiochus ise bu mezarın üzerine, Arsemia tarihine ışık tutan Anadolu’nun en büyük Grekçe kitabesini koydurmuş. Bu kitabede de, anıt mezar ile dönemin medeniyeti ile ilgili tarihi bilgiler yer alıyormuş. Arsemia’nın I. Antiochus’un atası Arsames tarafından kurulduğu, bu bölgenin krallığın yazlık başkenti olduğu ve I. Mithridates’in mezarı olduğu, bulunan bilgiler arasında.
 Arsemia Ancient City is another ruin place on the Nemrut route. It was once the capital of the Commagene civilization. Arsemia, also called the castle, was used for defense purposes as well as digging tunnels for religious purposes.
While ascending towards Arsemia, a statue and a water cistern are encountered on the narrow pathway used. When you continue upwards, in Arsemia, there is a tomb belonging to Mithridates I, the father of King Antiochus I, who brought the Commagene Kingdom to its peak. On the other hand, Antiochus I had the largest Greek inscription of Anatolia, which sheds light on the history of Arsemia, placed on this tomb. This inscription contains historical information about the monumental tomb and the civilization of the period. It is among the information found that Arsemia was founded by Arsames, the ancestor of Antiochus I, that this region was the summer capital of the kingdom and that it was the tomb of Mithridates I.
