Its a really nice place, but u advise you to bargain with them. If they see you as a tourist they'll take advantage of that.

Fresh and low priced fruits, vegetables and many different varieties that you will not find at local grocery stores. Open every Tuesday.

Real farmers market. Prices goes up tough as tourists start arriving Yalıkavak for the summer. Nevertheless a great and authentic food market.

The Tuesday market only has food and is fabulous. Most of the produce is local and fresh. The nut vendors and cheese sales people are extra friendly. They offer you samples and you get hooked right then and there. The one place I'll name is Orman Zeytincilik, run by a wonderful local woman who sells all kinds if olives and cheese but I go there for her stuffed green olives! These are green olives stuffed with almonds or orange or lemond rind or garlic. A definite MUST! In the market, tahere is also a plant section, where you can find a good variety of mostly flowering plants big and small alongside aromatic herbs and vegetable seedlings, The Thursday market is the cloth market day: all sorts of dresses, blouses, tunics, textiles, shawls of all colors and sizes, bed linen, table cloths, curtains, fake watches, sunglasses, colorful pottery... Lots of fun to walk through and look around!
