Paid a £52 deposit which hasn't been refunded, was given the car with the Adblue warning light on, meaning I had to top up Adblue at my own expense, rear parcel shelf straps broken, repaired them myself. Update 11.02.22...Received a reply almost 18 months later saying they had refunded.....this is NOT true....as of today still no refund received!!!!!! Says it all really

I do not recall the worst customer service than the one I had in Windycar during my travel to Izmir. 1) they did not give me the car I had booked upon my arrival. I was on time and I was pushed to get a way older option, not in shape vehicle with teared tires. Cars in Windycar do not GPS so be prepared even if they say so. 2) the tires were so old that we had a flat tire on day 7. They normally want you to get tire insurance and if you don't get it, it's going to be a zero support for flat tires and etc from Windycar, we fixed the tires ourselves and see the photos for the condition of the old tire. 3) the don't have staffing after 11 pm even though their location is the airport. Zero star to windy car not sure why booking.com even considers them

We would never rent a car again by windy car. We reserved two baby seats and a navigation system. The employee at the desk told us, that the car has already a navigation system, so he doesn't charge us for that. At the end we didn't have a navigation system (missing SD-Card) neither our two baby seats. We had to buy two seats in a baby-store nearby, so our kids (3 and 5) could drive in our car safely. The employees didn't want to help us in any way. They only had lame excuses for everything.

I reserved Hyundai i20 or similar, automatic transmission, got Nissan Micra with automatic transmission. Nissan Micra was superb. A little, lively car that had no problem fighting the crazy steep highway hills in southwestern Turkey. The car was in a good condition and the person who handed it over checked with me on all scratches beforehand and reported them in a protocol. The drop-off was smooth and fast.

I booked from them a couple of times and first time, I had a very good experience, but on the second time it was poor. The first time, I got a new auto transmission car with multimedia system for navigation, the staff spoke english at the car park and it was perfect. The second time, I booked a Hyundai i20 and they gave a very uncomfortable, rundown, dented Dacia Sendero manual transmission, without multimedia for navigation, noisy and clunky gears... and the guy could tell me to go and complain at the office if not happy for the old car. It seems that some cars are very old and outdated... and it depends on your luck. Basic multimedia system is standard for most cars newer than 2017... not happy.

I tested covid positive and called their office to ask them what their covid regulation was and if they could come and pick the car themselves as we were not allowed to leave the hotel. But they insisted that my husband should bring the car himself. Unbelievable. After a long conversation, their solution was that we should find someone to bring the car to their office. This is our first time in Izmir, how are tourists supposed to find someone to do such a favour?

Constant risk for health and safety through undermaintaned cars, be aware! Have booked a Passat from #WindyCar for 2 weeks vacation in Turkey at Izmir (ADB) Aiport. I chosed a Passat because of the rear space and we as family have some luggage and a baby buggy. We took the car and drove appr. 200 km north to our house. But something with the steering were unusual, like no grip to the road. After arrived at home I have checked the tires and found out that the profile of the tires were completely down. This was a constant risk of death for my family and me. I called next day the WindyCar station in Izmir Airport and they advised me to go to a garage, paying from my own money to replace the tires and afterwards they wanted to refund me the monay for that. After some researches in the internet, I found out that they not give the money back and that there many cases like this. But moreover, how it can be, that a rent a car company is giving such under maintained and life dangerous cars to customers? They tried to convince me to come back 200 km to their office to change the car. I rejected this ridicolous proposal, because to spend one complete day of my vacation for their mistakes is just nit logic and unacceptable. After many phone calls and mails to different people from the Koyuncu Group and WindyCar, they brought up a Peugeot 2008 to my house and took the Passat away. The problem is that the Peugeot 2008 is a smaller size car, but declared as a SUV with very small space in the rear. My luggage did not fit in and I need to book an additional transfer for my luggage and for the baby buggy. The additional transfer costs are about 800,00 TL one way to the airport. All arround, if your life is worth to you, avoid this company WindyCar! Undermaintained cars, unprofessional customer service and poor understanding of the situation where they brought the customer in. Never again, never #Windycar!

Incredibly good service received: I hired an SUV for 9 days from Izmir to Antalya. First I got pretty concerned by the reviews so I had some reserves but the deal was great: an SUV almost for the price of a smaller car elsewhere so I decided to go ahead. When we landed in Izmir the manager was very flexible and worked something out for us and he does d not have to. We were then given a Hyundai Tucson, fully loaded with leather and so on which was an absolute pleasure to drive around turkey with my family. I then returned the car in Antalya: I dropped it in their office which is a couple of kilometres away from the airport and they then drove me to the Antalya airport for free. A week after returning the car, I can see the deposit I paid being sent back to my account so no issues from this end either. Overall fantastic experience and I strongly recommend.
