Villa Lucia Kalkan

An absolutely brilliant villa in a very private location but still walking distance of Kalkan. We have stayed there a few times but were a little nervous because we knew Gary and Sheila the previous owners( who were brilliant) had sold. We need not have worried - Maria and Mark the new owners have taken over without a hitch at all. Highly recommended.

Only Been here for two days and the area and villa have exceeded my expectations.The villa is equipped with quality furnishings and fittings with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. The location is absolutely stunning with far reaching views over Kalyan Bay. There are plentiful Eateries in easy reach that serve quality food with an excellent range of menus and outstanding courteous service. Taxis are readily available also with the same outstanding friendly service. The villa is not overlooked so you are completely private when out by the pool.There is also a roof terrace off the bedroom on the top floor that which again command stunning views with quality furniture.If you want a quality holiday in a superb location look no further, Mark and Maria will go out of their way to ensure you have all that you need for an enjoyable and relaxing holiday.Thank you Mark and Maria for making my holiday so enjoyable.

We have just come back from this little paradise called, Kalkan in the Dalman coast of Turkey. We stayed at lovely Villa Lucia. We have been to Dalaman before but had never hired a Villa .This time we were meeting up with the rest of my family and we decided it has to be turkey and Dalaman again. We come across this villa which could house us all as we were 9 adults coming from three different countries and what a fabulous decision this was! We all arrived at the early hours of the morning to Dalaman Airport. Maria the owner organised the taxi transfer for all of us to the villa. The taxi ride was comfortable and the driver was very good and gentle. The road was new, with no bumps. Upon our arrival in the early hours of morning we found the fridge full of goodies and drinks, cheese and marmalade was set out for us to use and even the smell of freshly baked bread on the kitchen counter. It was such a fantastic gesture and so comforting that we don’t need to rush to shop in the morning to get breakfast. The villa is spacious and immaculately furnished. Attention to details in every single aspect of it is amazing. Anything and everything that you may need during your stay has been thought of. The view from all floors is out of this world. Kalkan Bay is picturesque with its blue green clear water and white pebbles. The sea water was a bit cold at this time of the year but the heated swimming pool at the villa was perfect instead. Walk to centre of the town takes about 15 min and you need flat shoes to be comfortable. There is a bakery next to the footbridge and tasty Turkish bread from early hours of the morning. The supermarkets are not far and there are few choices. There was also a butcher where we bought our meet and chicken form for BBQ. The villa has a lovely BBQ area with stone made BBQ. There is a bus station (OTO GARI) to the left of petrol station and you can take a minibus to Pathara beach which is a sandy stretch of beach for miles. It is absolutely amazing and we spent the whole day there with picnics and drinks. Our whole stay was fantastic thanks to Maria and Mark the owners of villa Lucia by providing all the information and organising everything we needed. We had a relaxing time and enjoyed every second of our visit to this beautiful part of the world at villa Lucia. We can’t wait to go back next year for hopefully couple of weeks this time. We have just returned from a wonderful weeks stay here. Our group comprised of 2 families with small children, and there was more than enough room in this fantastic villa. The area is superb, brilliant restaurants, very friendly locals, and you can retreat to relax at the villa in privacy too. The hosts were so helpful in arranging things for us, and have made some great changes to the property just before we arrived, adding in a shallow end to the pool, and a glass wall so you can really appreciate the view. We will definitely be going back!

We have just returned from a week stay at Villa Lucia.. WOW is all I can say it has exceeded all expectation.. i don’t know where to begin it truly is a home away from home but in the most beautiful location that is Kalkan. We have stayed in many parts of turkey before but Kalkan is by far our favourite place we have stayed and for me this is mainly to due to The Villa itself. It has everything you could possibly need. Beautifully furnished fully air conditioned, sky tv, free WiFi with no connection problems cd and Bluetooth stereo. We arrived on a night flight early hours and all shops were closed all very hungry to find fresh bread & cheese there for us all and even enough for your first breakfast. There is a water cooler tea & coffee etc. It really did set the tone for such an amazing holiday.. a great touch and just what we all needed. We could tell within minutes of arriving Mark & Maria really do put so much thought and effort into making sure their guest have the most comfortable experience while staying at villa Lucia. We all had spacious rooms and the most comfortable beds 4 x bathrooms with showers and 1 huge bath so no waiting around for everyone to use the same shower. Then to wake up to the most breathtaking views looking down over the bay and old town surrounded by the mountains it’s so picturesque. Everyone was in the heated pool within minutes of waking up a great way to start your days. Enough sun loungers for everyone so no setting early alarms for a frantic dash down to the pool area to claim your sun lounger with your towels like at most hotels we have stayed (I’m sure most can relate to this ?) You are spoilt for choice as to where you want to soak up the sun or when you want to just chill & relax in the shade when you wanted to get away from the hot sun. A little walk from all the wide range of supermarkets, restaurants, clothing shops etc we always enjoyed the walk in the sun and even when you have been walking round old town and a little tired for the walk back it’s a cheap 15 lira(£2) taxi ride home that takes up to 6 people so works out around 30p each. There are many excursions you can book we most enjoyed the quad biking and also the water sports down at Indigo beach club lots of fun to be had. Wide range of restaurants for all tastes and most even deliver to the Villa so you can eat out or order take away to be delivered. We also used the bbq area at the villa. The local supermarkets & butchers sell fresh meat.. We recommend the fresh lamb or chicken skewers.. so tasty!! The rooftop terrace with its traditional Turkish chill out area is another added bonus. I could go on and on The only negative for us was..... GOING HOME Highly recommend this villa and we are already planning our return for next year. Thank you Mark & Maria

Absolutely wonderful villa. Just returned to a freezing UK in November from Kalkan & loved this place. Wonderful views from every room over the bay. A heated swimming pool, great outdoor areas. It had everything! Sunshine too! ? Fabulous welcome pack and just above the D400- I’ve always insisted on being below this road- this Villa was 5* I’d go back 100% Thank you Maria & Mark. Such a pleasant and helpful booking process throughout. Wonderful home.?

We have recently returned from another fortnight stay in beautiful Kalkan. As usual the food, weather, views and locals did not disappoint. Normally we stay in a new modern villa but this time opted for a more traditional older property. We booked over a year ago and during this period have been given regular photos and information on updates to the property by the new owners Mike & Maria. As a family of 6 ranging from 17-80 Villa Lucia had something for all of us. Mike & Maria have obviously done their homework and drawn on their own holiday accommodation experiences to give Villa Lucia that extra special touch that makes you appreciate the love that has gone into this property and the owners wish that you are as comfortable as you can be with that home from home feeling. I would not hesitate to rebook or to recommend to anyone looking for the perfect holiday home.

Just recently returned from a 1 week stay in Villa Lucia and it is absolutely stunning! The views from the private pool area out to the bay are incredible, the pool is also a perfect temperature to cool down. Perfect heat trap on the sun loungers and if you are looking for a bit of shade then you can move to the outdoor sofa, right next to the pool, which you can curl up with a good book. There's also an outdoor BBQ equipped with tables and chairs which we used a couple times. The villa inside has all the furnishings you need for a relaxing stay - comfy beds and more stunning views from the balcony! You will be hard pressed to have a bad meal in Kalkan, the local restaurants are fantastic with very friendly service. Taxi's are on hand to get you about Kalkan as well, again more friendly service.
