Anadolu'daki birçok Türk-İslam eserinde görülen devşirme malzeme kullanımına camiinin inşaasında da başvurulmuştur. Özellikle son cemaat yerinin arkasında yer alan sütunlar ve onların Korint nizamına göre yapılmış olan başlıkları mimari eserdeki en belirgin devşirme malzemelerdir.
Osmanlı tarihinin bu döneminde Antalya ile ilişkili iki Murat Paşa'nın bulunması camiiyi yaptıran kişi konusunda bir kafa karışıklığı yaratmıştır. Evliya Çelebi'nin Seyahatname'sinden yola çıkarak uzun yıllar camii Kuyucu Murat Paşa Camii adıyla anılsa da son yıllarda elde edilen veriler, camiiyi Osmanlı Devleti'nin bu dönemde sadrazamlığını yapmış ve baskıcı yönetimiyle tanınmış Kuyucu Murat Paşa'nın yaptırmadığını Karaman Beyi Murat Paşa'nın yaptırdığını ortaya koymuştur.
Although it was built in 1570 during the Ottoman period, traces of Seljuk calligraphy art can be found in the mosque. The use of spolia material seen in many Turkish-Islamic works in Anatolia was also applied in the construction of the mosque. Especially the columns behind the narthex and their heads made according to the Corinthian order are the most prominent spolia materials in the architectural work.
The presence of two Murat Pashas associated with Antalya in this period of Ottoman history created confusion about the person who built the mosque. Although the mosque was called Kuyucu Murat Pasha Mosque for many years, based on Evliya Çelebi's Travel Book, the data obtained in recent years shows that the mosque was not built by Kuyucu Murat Pasha, who was the grand vizier of the Ottoman State in this period and was known for his oppressive administration. proved that he did.
