Excellent once in a lifetime experience. Museum is very good as well as the ancient city ruins. No need to pay for the cleopetra pools. You can dip for free in the pools outside.

Just Wow. We came early at 8am to be the first to come to this magical place. After crawling slowly barefoot over icy stones to soak our freezing feet in the warm rushing water in the canal, we walked around to take in warm of the morning sun and enjoy the panoramic view of Pamukkale from this high point. A must come place to visit if near the Aegean Sea region of Turkey. Please, protect the environment by not walking over stones and water w shoes on. ?

I have been visiting this place since the mid 70's and the magic of these formations is mesmerizing. I'm very happy to see some protection of the travertines has been implemented. The air quality in the winter months is quite questionable, but this will belong to the past soon, too, i hope. A visit to the ancient city ruins above and the museum can't and shouldn't be missed! The staff here is exceptional!

We went outside season so maybe that’s what influenced my review as water was mostly shut down and only few pools were filled. If you want to see amazing views like on many photos I recommend checking it in season. It’s still nice to walk around (best things is you can sit and dip your feet in stream of warm/hot water)

I visited in mid March close to sunset time from the south entrance- security there will guide you to go barefoot. It's a strange but lovely sensation, take care as there is no marked path on the southern side and you have to edge your way around deep bodies of water. From the southern side the walk up is not too steep. Water is very cold but there is a stream of hot water flowing at the top where you can warm up. Don't bother bringing a towel if your hotel is close but do bring slippers for the walk back. Most tourists will leave before sunset so you'll have the whole place to yourself! Also remember after sunset the temperature drops significantly so make sure you have warm clothes.

Absolutely STUNNING! Maybe do a short hike around the bottom but definitely drive up to the top, park and explore from there. Entrance fee is included in the National Park Pass but worth paying for either way. Walk down the slope as far as you want then go soak in Cleopatras pools, amazing!!

Second time visiting it and it’s worth. Good view and easy access. Can drive to upper South Gate, has car parking and in walking distance to both travertines and antique ruins. Prices and quality of food and drinks are not good though. I visited in March, it was freezing and pumping to many places wasn’t active, better visit warmer times

Great place in nature to visit these travertine terraces. I parked in the upper car park. Walked around the ancient city and the amphitheatre first then went to the terraces. Great views over the town and the distant mountains. It was nice to walk bare foot in the thermal spring water on some of the terraces. The thermal spring water is very regulated now so only some of the terraces have water in them.
