Beklentiyi yuksek tutmayin, bakarsan bag olur bakmazsan dag olurun cok guzel bir ornegi. Su kemeri bakimsizliktan buyuk bolumu cokmus, taslari bahce duvari olmus, ama 2.yyda bunu nasil yapmis olabilirler bu insanlar diye merak edebileceginiz bir yer.
Don't keep your expectations high. If you look, you become a bond, if you don't, you become a mountain. It is a very good example. Most of the aqueduct collapsed due to neglect, its stones became a garden wall, but it is a place where you may wonder how these people could have done it in the 2nd century.

The Trajan Aqueduct, which was built to bring water from Harbiye to Antakya and whose history is close to four thousand years, is a great engineering wonder with its design and construction.

The Trajan Su Kemeri aquaduct was built by the Roman emperor Traianus to bring water to Antakya, one of the Harbiye waterfalls. The 9 km long arches are today in a very damaged condition. Even a small number of ruins of aqueducts known to the public as the Memekli Bridge provide inspiration for the excellence of the project. The visit was part of the travel program of August 21, 2020, which we described in detail with photos in the "Travel Report Round Trip Hatay".

Until they get there, their roads are very bad, there are potholes everywhere. Most of the arch has been destroyed. It didn't seem like a place to go to much.

Although most of the arches are gone, it is very beautiful and magnificent. They must be guarded. Transportation is easy.

Very good walk from Daphne I went early in the morning and it was very pleasant. Lots of early morning walkers on the road however lots of dogs on the road, none were aggressive but it was time that I felt uncomfortable. When the asphalt ends the road is a dirt road with mix rocks and gravel. Make sure you were the right shoes for this condition.
