It is very nice and valuable that the building has been preserved. Unfortunately, it is currently used as a mosque official and association chamber. When I knocked on the door, the association official inside opened it. They had spread carpet inside and sat throwing a few chairs. It's already a small building. I asked how the timinghouse was used in the past and where its materials were. The official said that the materials were in the mosque and directed me to the mosque. When I entered the mosque and looked at it, we realized that he was talking about two wooden pedestal clocks that were not related to the materials used in the timekeeper. These clocks also did not belong to the timekeeper. I wish they could transform the interior arrangement of Ortahisar Timing House, which is one of the timing houses that has survived a very few times and shows that the concept of time is very important in Turkish-Islamic culture, into an identity that we can show our children in its original form. I think that this historical value, which is 100 meters from the Trabzon Provincial Directorate of Culture, is more valuable than being a sitting area for association and mosque officials, to serve it by being equipped with its original form and to undertake the task of reminding our young people of the value of "Time". We dream so that we can see at least an Astrolabe, and we are waiting for the officers of our Culture Directorate nearby to do it.
