The Temple of Apollo, together with the Temple of Athena, remained in the courtyard of the Byzantine basilica. It is in Corinthian order and has a peripteros plan. It belongs to the Roman period. M.S 150 is known to belong to the years. Side, also known as the place where Egyptian Queen Cleopatra and Roman Commander Antonius met and bathed in the pool, was the natural port of ancient Pamphylia. Among the historical ruins of the city, the Temple of Apollo has a special place. . Due to the destruction in history, a corner of the structure was restored between 1982-1990 and visually raised to its feet. Some parts of the Temple of Apollo were removed for use in the construction of the basilica. Reconstructed in accordance with the Roman order and Peripteros plan, some of the big columns of the temple have been restored and put into place today. The Temple of Apollo, with its historical phenomenon dating back to 150 BC, is an important heritage site that is truly worth seeing with its historical remains.

I was 18 years old when I visited it for the first time in 1990. We came from Eskişehir with my classmates and stayed at the camp in Kumköy.
