At the foot of the castle, this Byzantine water reservoir is 46 m long, 23 m wide and 14 m deep, and is accessed by a spiral staircase in the east corner. Tekir Ambari cistern, which is rarely seen in Anatolian cistern architecture, all the walls of the water cistern are supported by neat cut stones to prevent water seepage and also to give it a monumental feature, 8 on its long side; 5 round arched niches were formed on the short side.
