Medrese taçkapısı üzerindeki üç satırlık Arapça kitâbeye göre 648 (1250) yılında II. Keyhusrev’in oğlu II. Keykâvus’un hükümdarlığı zamanında Selçuklu Veziri Emîridâd Sâhib Ata Fahreddin Ali tarafından yaptırılmıştır.
Although it is known that it was a complex consisting of a madrasa, a small mosque, a mausoleum, an almshouse and a fountain, only the Tasmedrese, the mosque and the tomb survived. According to the three-line Arabic inscription on the madrasa portal, in 648 (1250) II. Keyhusrev's son II. It was built by the Seljuk Vizier Emiridâd Sâhib Ata Fahreddin Ali during the reign of Keykavus.

One of the best archeology museums I've ever seen, I didn't expect it to be such a special museum when I went inside. Definitely worth seeing.
