★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tirit is local dish. Lamb, barbecued is put on top of bread crumbs, butter and Yugurt make the sauce (pretty much like Iskender but the latter is with tomato sauce). Add Summac on top, divine. Visiting Konya without sampling this delicacy is a huge mistake. Expect to see a queue (15 minutes on average)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tirit is a local dish made with the meat of sheep, lamb or cow, stale bread, yoghurt, and some greens. Mithat Tirit is said to be one of the best in preparing this dish.
Also, they serve a local dessert (zerde) made from rice, saffron and other ingredients
Tirit is too greasy for my taste whereas the dessert tastes light and fresh. It's worth trying.

Barbecued lamb on a bed of yogurt soaked bread.
I chose the place on the basis of my two rules of thumb..
Specialised in only one dish- they have to get it right.
Packed with locals- they know where to find the best quality and value.
A winner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This dish is perfect. It's called Tirit meat and paper and tomato coming with yogurt and bread they put it in oven. And it's really fantastic. The menu has only 3 items this dish and dessert called Zerde and water. The price is good The dish is big and it's cost 38 Turkish kira.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came here on a Saturday, it is a very popular place so we had to wait till our number got called out. That only took about 10 minutes. First off if you are planning to come by car, then DON'T, since its downtown it was utterly impossible to find parking. We came here hoping that the reviews were right. Honestly ı have nothing bad to say about the taste. However was it worth the wait and the drive to eat a 52Liras, of what seemed liked a more fancy İskender? Well my answer is a biG fat NO.
