The ruined Church of our story At the time of the exchange, with the rumor that the Greeks buried the gold on their way, both the village and the church were riddled with holes, but nothing was found. The church, whose walls and even the roof were excavated, is mostly still standing.

The church Tarihi Rum Ortodoks Kilisesi (Garipler Köyü Camii) measures 17x12.3 meters. The length of the apse is 3.4 meters. Its roof is partly in ruins. Except for the upper part of the southwest corner, all of its walls are intact. Cut stone was used in the corners, windows, arches and doors, and quarry stone was used in the other parts. The narthex is to the west. The church was used as a mosque for a while and then as a school. The church is a rectangular building, which extends in an east-west direction, with a vestibule and three naves, which were built from smoothly polished stones and rubble. We visited them on August 14th, 2021 and mentioned them in the "Travel Report Tokat Yozgat Part 75" and described them as recommendable.
