These homes are fairly well preserved. And while there a few privately owned homes to visit, the large majority of these homes are actually, even to this day, inhabited by locals. The entire location in itself is surrounded by historical monuments dating back to the early and mid 6th century. It is also home to the world's first university.
A must see.
