It has a view of Mardin plain with its location. The school has its own garden door and the school itself with its decorations and architecture. Must be on the list of things to see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 16. yüzyılda vakıf kayıtlarında rastlanan ve 13. yüzyılın sonlarında Melik Mahmut Karaaslan Artuklu tarafından yaptırılmış olup, bugün ayakta olmayan Muzafferiye Medresesi arazisi üzerine 1898 senesinde bir Rüştiye Mektebi yapılmıştır. Rüştiye binası sonradan lise, ardından kız öğretmen okulu ve en son ticaret lisesi olarak kullanılmıştır. Bina görkemli taş işçiliğiyle Mardin’in simgelerinden biri haline gelmiş olan anıtsal bir kapının arkasında yer almaktadır.
Melik Mahmut Karaaslan was built by Melik Mahmut Karaaslan Artuklu at the end of the 13th century and found in foundation records in the 16th century, and a Junior High School was built in 1898 on the land of Muzafferiye Madrasah, which is not standing today. The Rüştiye building was later used as a high school, then a girls 'teachers' school and finally a commercial high school. The building is located behind a monumental door that has become one of the symbols of Mardin with its magnificent stonework.
