Cuma Akgün, who has been trying to clean the historical building in the garbage dump, who has been in the Abdaldede Neighborhood of the historical Sur district for a year and a half and has tried to clean the historical building in the dump, addressed the authorities for the restoration of the historical building. Akgün stated that the historical building was abandoned to its fate and said that it was repaired and cleaned by the bath itself. Akgün said, “I have been dealing with the dirt that I have been in for about 2 years. Our aim is to reveal this historical work and bring it to tourism. I invite the governor, district governor and mayor to at least protect this work. For more than 500 years, the bath has been standing, as we know, of course it could be even more. The treasure hunters entered here and made excavations in many places and made them unusable. It used to be an abandoned place before and it was built by the addicts. Now we have cleaned with my own effort and we are open to the public as a cafe. I was not willing to have a historical value in the dump and leave it to rot. If this place is restored and put into service, local and foreign tourists come and visit these places, it is for everyone's benefit. It is a legacy of our future and our ancestors. We want to claim this together. My request from the authorities is to protect these beautiful works and our historical values. Uncovering our historical monuments is a win for our country.
