We were met in Istanbul and from there experienced Cappadocia, Ankara, Black Sea area, Aegean Sea area and the Mediterranean Sea areas. We are from California and appreciate beautiful country: Alican and his team also introduced us to the kind people, ancient history and delicious foods of a country imbedded with authentic values incorporated with modern reality. Private Tour in Black Sea Area with Alican Alican, our tour guide, was a gift. He is helpful, kind, attentive, well-organized, and is genuinely interested in making your time there the best it can be. He clearly know, loves, and understands his country, and he wants to share it with you …its people, its architecture and art, culture, delicious food, incredible history, and geography … the cool caves, lush green hillside, walking around the beautiful lake, driving up that mountain to the summer camp to spend time with lovely people … everything he arranges is with purpose. We even met his family at their home where we were well-fed with delicious food, spent a lovely evening being warmed by their hospitality, and left with a bag of fresh fruit. Travelling to Turkey has become somewhat of an obsession for me. When last October a sudden change in a much bigger travel itinerary throughout the Middle East left me and a friend with about a week to fill, we booked very last minute this Private Black Sea Tour with Northa Travel and our outstanding tour guide Alican. It truly was one of my most memorable travel experiences. Not only did we experience this very scenic region of Turkey with its green mountains, deep valleys, tall waterfalls, emerald lakes surrounded by colorful forests, historic castles and peaceful highlands. Our guide Alican, who was knowledgeable and well-spoken, flexible to our needs and very kind, offered us an authentic insight into the history, culture and people of the area. I will never forget our stay in Pokut, the summer pastures high in the mountains, where we spent the evening with lovely locals eating delicious foods, listening to the bagpipes, singing and dancing. The following evening, Alican invited us to meet his family at his parents’ home. What was to be a quick visit turned into delicious meal of local dishes like hamsi (fried anchovies) and muhlama (Turkish cheese fondue) with meeting many of the neighbors who stopped by later just to say ‘hello’. Turks are generally known to be very hospitable and in a private tour, a guide can tailor the activities and experiences to the interests and needs of his clients but in this tour Alican took hospitality to another level. A Review of Sunnova Travel Agencies Black Sea Tour: The Black Sea Region of Turkey is simply stunning! This tour gives you the opportunity to see and experience the hidden gems of this area that you wouldn't be able to find on your own. I was able to take this tour as a private tour and Alican was extremely helpful in putting together a tour that suited me and all of the places I wanted to see. Even once I was on the tour, they were extremely flexible and were very happy to change the schedule to suit me. One of the absolute highlights of my trip wasn't even on the original itinerary - I was welcomed into Alican and Oguzhan's (my driver) family home for a village experience that I will never forget. This family has a heart and soul of pure GOLD! I was humbled by their kindness and generosity. My guide Veysel also took me to his village to see his family and he picked hazelnuts and fruit from his own garden for me! His generosity and care throughout this tour was heartwarming. I am very grateful to have been able to tour the Black Sea Region with this company and to learn all about the Turkish culture! Alican, from Sunnova Travel, was very accomodating and friendly in his service. On the first day in Turkey, it snowed unexpectedly, he kindly lent his jacket for us to use, this was highly appreciated. Alican went out of his way to ensure that the hotel check-in and check-out process was smooth and without any issues. Alican and Selcuk, are always earlier to arrive at the stated time. They recommended food places where locals go and are not tourist traps. Sunnova needs to be more sensitive to the selection of hotels as some hotels are not in a good location for night time sleep. Overall, our trip was well-planned and we were invited to Selcuk's home for a Turkish home-cooked lunch with their family and friends, this is a very kind and appreciated gesture. Alican and Selcuk put the welfare of guests as their top priority and we would be happy to travel with them in the future.
