A traditional making ceramic shop dated over 6 generations ago. It's products are one of a kind and produced only here in Capadoccia

The family and I went today and were very impressed with the people, selection and business! It's a unique underground shop with ceramics at every turn. My son enjoyed the demos that they did with even only the 3 of us at the shop at the time! I currently live in Ankara, Turkey and plan to visit again...for sure! I bought the pice in the pic below and felt the price was very fair.

I purchased a hot air balloon ceramic ornament from this company and the first time i used it with a night light in it fell from its chain and smashed. This item was sold to me as a high quality item. Clearly it was not.

This is a family business passed down from 3 generations. Good overview on the pottery making process. However, very limited fine tune chinaware.

A nice experience to see the actual pottery manufacturer along with other ceramic products , the price is slightly overpriced. It is a family business for generations. Nice tour inside the shop with nice products .

The tour provided by the Turkmen lady was very nice. But I didn't really understand the idea behind the price... They have all the prices displayed in USD, and if you apply the exchange rate to Turkish Lira the price would be about five time higher than for the similar things in any souvenir shop at the street. I appreciate that the quality maybe better etc, but such difference is too much in my opinion.

I enjoyed the handmade pieces and their collection. I understand that a lot of human effort goes into making of these items, but pricing them all in USD was a little too crazy. Small glass bowls in the local market costed about 10 Lira, while at the store they charged USD 10. Felt ridiculous... ! My warning would be not to buy anything in these stores on your tour, rely on local markets. Everything you would get would be same.
