The mosque is totally impressive. The structure reminds one of the Ottoman Empire. It is one place to visit when on the fortress.

Alanya Suleymaniye Mosque, which was built by the Anatolian Seljuk Sultan I. Alaeddin Keykubat in the summit of Alanya Castle in 1231, is located just outside of İçkale. The mosque, which was destroyed as a result of a lightning strike, was rebuilt by Kanuni Sultan Süleyman using its original materials. Because of the mosque’s plan, structure type, dome and arch shape, the building is dated to the 16th century. Süleymaniye Mosque, which has a single minaret, is now known as Alaeddin, Kale or Süleymaniye Mosque.
