 Appetizers are very nice, Ottoman sherbet also in the same way.Machine roasting is fixed every day, lambs are required to order a day in advance for a very nice main dishes 40 TL, soup 8tl, appetizers 12 TL, deserves more than the money given.

It currently serves as a public cafe belonging to the Municipality of Izmit. You can sip your coffee with the view of the bay. A quiet place, at least in late March.

16. yüzyıl defterlerine “Hamam-ı Köhne” diye kaydedilmesi ya Osmanlı öncesinden yani Bizans döneminden kalma olduğunu düşündürmüş.
Hamamın içini gezme imkanınız var ama bence gezmeyin.. hafızanızda dış görünüş olarak kalsın..
yani ben 18 ime kadar hamama gitmiş ve bircok hamam görmüş biri olarak.. iç yapıdaki KURNALAR (hamamlarda, musluğun altında bulunan ve içinde su biriktirilen, yuvarlak ve genellikle mermer ya da taş tekne) asla eski tiplere benzemiyordu.. SU OLUKLARI da.. mermerler yeni kesilmis gibi asla OYMA FİGÜR MİNYATÜR birsey yok .. oyle dümdüz.. ama dışı CİDDEN çok güzel
Hamamın, Osmanlı Dönemi’nden yalnız ILIKLIK (soyunma odasindan sonraki bölüm.. dinlenilen) ve SICAKLIK(Yıkanılan yer) kısımları ayakta kalmıştır. Bunun dışındaki SOĞUKLUKLAR (soyunma yeri)ve HELÂLAR yıkılmıştır.
Osmanlı Dönemi sonrasında uzun yıllar harabe halde kalmış ve bir zamanlar İTFAİYE DEPOSU olarak kullanılmıştır.
1999 Marmara depreminden büyük hasarla çıkmış olan hamam, 2013 yılında İzmit Büyükşehir Belediyesi tarafında onarılmış ve faaliyete sokulmuştur.
Ve ilk açıldığında iç kısım Osmanlı yemekleri yapan bir restoran olarak kullanılıyordu ve muhteşemdi. Adı "tarihî çinili mutfaktı". Resim paylaştım. İçerisinde günlük eşyalar, masa sandalye olanlar ESKİ RESİM
It is a double bath that continued its activities in the Ottoman period.
The fact that it was recorded as “Hamam-ı Köhne” in 16th century notebooks made us think that it was from the pre-Ottoman, that is, Byzantine period.
You have the opportunity to visit the inside of the bath, but I don't think you should.
I mean, as someone who went to the bathhouse until I was 18 and saw many baths.. THE KINNAS (round and usually marble or stone tubs in the baths, under the tap and in which water is collected) in the interior never resembled the old types. nothing like a new cut carved figure.. it's straight.. but it's SERIOUSLY beautiful on the outside
Only the ILIKLIK (the part after the dressing room... resting) and the HOT (Washing place) parts of the bath, from the Ottoman period, have survived. Other than that, SOĞUKLUK (dressing place) and HELâLAR have been destroyed.
After the Ottoman Period, it remained in ruins for many years and was once used as a FIRE WAREHOUSE.
The bath, which suffered great damage from the 1999 Marmara earthquake, was repaired and put into operation in 2013 by the Izmit Metropolitan Municipality.
And when it first opened, the interior was used as a restaurant serving Ottoman dishes and it was magnificent. It was called "historical tiled kitchen". I shared a picture. Those with daily items, tables and chairs OLD PICTURE
