Of course, there were also traditions that developed independently of Mesopotamia. Examples of these are the American and Chinese societies that discovered writing independently of the Sumerians. Apart from the Sumerians, the Jews also made a significant difference in the history of education. The names of the phenomena examined by educational sciences such as learning, teaching and training in the Torah, which is their holy book, show the progress made by education in being a part of culture. However, it is known that Ezra opened one of the first public corporate schools in history in Jerusalem.
