It was built of cut stone by an architect who is rumored to be one of the journeymen of Mimar Sinan in the Ottoman Period in Aydın Center. It was built in 1683 and is also known as Süleyman Bey Mosque.

This mosque, with a square plan, built by one of Mimar Sinan's journeymen in the greenery in the center of Aydın, is a single domed structure made of cut stone. Its dome is placed on a 16-cornered frame on two-stage body walls.
