★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Silifke Stone Bridge (Roman bridge)-Mersin. It is in the town center of Silifke MS. It was built by the Governor of Cilicia in 77-78 by L.Octavius Memor for the Roman Emperor Vespesianus and his sons Titus and Domitianus. Stone Bridge in Goksu River XIX. YY. it kept its original shope until the end of. It has been repaired and modified many times. The biggest known repair was made by Silifke Governor Mehmet Ali Pasha in 1875. In 1972, expansion work was carried out on the bridge. The 5-arched bridge was originally 7-arched. Today it is completely modern except for the basics.
