Hani nerede güçlü bedenin, şimdi ne kadar da zayıfsın! Hani nerede güzel konuşman, şimdi ne kadar da suskunsun! Hani nerede duyan kulakların, şimdi ne kadar da sağırsın! Bu ses, şu cümle ile bağlanır: “Hani, seçkin dostların neredeler, ne kadar da yalnız kaldın!” • Ölen kimse, kefenlendiği zaman da yine gökten üç ses gelir ki onlar sırası ile şöyledir: “Ey insanoğlu! Eğer Allah’ın rızasına sahip isen, ne mutlu sana. Eğer Allah’ın dargınlığını almışsan, vay haline! Ey insanoğlu! Eğer yerin cennet ise, ne mutlu sana. Eğer yerin cehennem ise vay haline! Ey insanoğlu! Uzun bir yolculuğa çıkıyorsun, azığın da yok. Evinden çıkıyorsun, bir daha da oraya dönmeyeceksin. Hem de sonsuza kadar. Dehşetlerle dolu bir eve gidiyorsun.” • Ölen kimsenin cenazesi taşınmaya alındığı zaman yine gökten üç ses gelir; bu sesler de sırası ile şöyledir: “Ey insanoğlu! Eğer amelin hayırsa, ne mutlu sana. Eğer tevbekâr olmuşsan, ne mutlu sana. Eğer Allah'a itaatkâr olmuşsan, ne mutlu sana. • Ölen kimse, cenaze namazı kılınacağı yere konduğu zaman da gökten üç ses gelir, o sesler de sırası ile şöyledir: “Ey insanoğlu! Şimdiye kadar işlediğin her işini, şu anda göreceksin. Eğer işlerin hayır ise, hayır göreceksin. Eğer amelin şer ise, şer göreceksin.” • Ölen kimsenin cenazesi kabir ağzına konduğu zaman gökten üç ses daha gelir ki; bu sesler sırası ile şöyledir: “Ey insanoğlu! Ömür boyu çalıştın, bu batak için ne hazırladın? Zengin halinden, bu fakirlik gününe ne taşıdın? Bu karanlık yer için, nasıl bir aydınlık getirdin?” • Ölen kimse, kabrine konduktan sonra da yerden üç ses gelir; bu sesler de sırası ile şöyledir: “Ey insanoğlu! Sırtımda iken gülüp oynuyordun; şimdi içimde ağlayacaksın. Sırtımda iken sevinçli idin; şimdi içimde üzüleceksin. Sırtımda iken konuşuyordun, şimdi suskun olacaksın.” • Ölen kimseyi insanlar kabrinde yalnız bırakıp gittikten sonra, Yüce Allah şöyle buyuracak: “Ey kulum, şimdi tek başına yalnız kaldın. Herkes, seni bu kabir karanlığında bırakıp gitti. Halbuki sen onlar için bana karşı gelmiştin! Bugün ben, sana öyle merhamet edeceğim ki, insanlar buna şaşıracaklar.
