Soğuksu National Park

Very nice natural forest

Pretty nice and quiet and one of few large green places around Ankara. Not quite recommended on weekends as it's usually over crowded, especially when the weather is fine. If you go for a picnic (in case you plan to have a barbecue and you're not vegetarian/vegan), you should definitely pass by the butcher's shop called Bizim Kasap, on the right side of the pavement in the town center of Kızılcahamam. I bet that it's the most delicious lam chops you've ever tasted! Grab your meat and head for the park and enjoy your stay! Ps. If you like to go for a trail run (which I do), the national park offers you a very nice route, not that recommended for beginners though as it's full sharp up and downhills. One of few nice technical terrain for long trails around Ankara, give it a try and share your experience.

Nice and peacefull place, pure nature, clear air.

Nature is nice but the whole place is overtaken by bbq fans which ruins the nature experience.

Beautiful garden but lacking many amenities like groceries

Soğuksu National Park is accessible 2 km (1.2 mil) west of Kızılcahamam, which is on the state road D 750, 78 km (48 miK north of Ankara. Ankara city bus line EGO 527 serves the national park from Ulus, Ankara four times a day. The ride takes around two and half hours. (Wikipedia)

It is Avery nice place, clean, there are many places for barbekue

It was a great place, great experience. It was my first time to visit there. Sooo amazing ang stunning view on top of the forest/mountain. Love to be back soon to have picnic with families
