★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my first visit to Cappadocia. And My first meal (Dinner) I had at this restaurant. Nice service and good food, most importantly no language or communication gap as they understand English. Helps you in selecting the local flavors. A very favorite Testi Kebab made in tradition pottery. Don’t forget to take green apple tea Khava.

Best restaurant!! friendly staff, delicious food. I ordered pottery kebab which the staff recommended. It came with soup(the best soup ever), bread, chili pickle, mixed salad, rice, and beef pottery kebab. 40 lira per person. huge meal for two people so we coudn't finish it. everything was so so so delicious. after we finish the meal, the staff offered apple tea for us. plus, he gave us chopstics because of we are korean. how cute!
there are lots of touristic restaurants in goreme, but if you are tired of those and want to eat in somewhere local, try this reastaurant. I am sure I will visit again for the soup!!ö

The owner recommended us somes dishes that were from this region and we were won over by it.
We love Sofra so much that we came back again the next day for dinner.
We will be missing this place ? and we highly recommend it if you are in this area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had about an hour to walk around the downtown area (Cappadocia) and stumbled upon this lovely restaurant. I had been in Turkey for 6 days and had the opportunity to eat a variety of Turkish dishes; however, not one tasted as delicious as the one I had in this restaurant. If I could've brought this dish home with me to America; my heart would've jumped for joy. The cost for my meal was very reasonable! Thank you Sofra staff for the wonderful experience!
