Şire (Belediye) Hanı 7500 m²’lik alanı ile hem Gaziantep'in hem de çevre illerin en büyük kervansaraylarından biridir. Han içerisinde Gaziantep yöresine ait, üzüm, pestil, sucuk, pekmez, bal, tereyağı, fıstık gibi ürünlerin satılmasından dolayı Şire Hanı adıyla anılmaktadır. Klasik Osmanlı han mimarisinin bir çok özelliğini üzerinde taşıyan han, dikdörtgen planlıdır. Diğer hanlardan ayrılan en büyük özelliği üç cephesinde anıtsal taç kapıların yer almasıdır. 1885 yılında tamamlanan hanın yapımı 25 yıl sürmüştür. Mustafa Ağa (Say) tarafından yaptırılmış olup, üç kapılı büyük bir kervansaraydır. Yakın tarihte geçirdiği yangın neticesinde han kullanılmaz hale gelmiş, daha sonra Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyesi tarafından aslına uygun olarak restore edilmiştir.

Şire (Municipality) Han is one of the biggest caravanserais of both Gaziantep and neighboring provinces with an area of 7500 m². It is called Şire Hanı because of the sale of products such as grape, pulp, soudjouk, molasses, honey, butter and pistachio belonging to the Gaziantep region. The inn, which carries many features of classical Ottoman inn architecture, has a rectangular plan. The most important feature that distinguishes it from other inns is that there are monumental crown gates on three facades. Completed in 1885, the construction of the inn took 25 years. It was built by Mustafa Ağa (Say) and it is a large caravanserai with three doors. As a result of the fire in the recent past, the inn became unusable and was later restored by the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality in accordance with its original.
