Tarsus Siptilli Çarşısı veya Tarsus Kemeraltı olarak bilinen yerde eskiden tepeye asılmış harika şemsiyeler buluduğu söylense de biz gittiğimizde yoktu. Hâlbuki çok hoş görüyordu. Eski Cami ve Roma Hamamı kalıntılarına çok yakın bir konumda ve Tarsus’un merkezinde çok kolay ulaşılabilir bir yerde bulunuyor. Şemsiyeler olmayınca eski cazibesini kaybetmiş gibi görünsede gittiğiniz zaman el sanatlarının bir çok güzel örneğini görüp alışveriş yapabilme imkânından dolayı tavsiye ederim.
The street known as Umbrella Road in Tarsus should definitely be on your Tarsus Places to Visit. Although it is said that there were great umbrellas hanging from the hill in the place known as Tarsus Siptilli Bazaar or Tarsus Kemeraltı, it was not there when we went. However, he was very pleasant. It is located very close to the ruins of the Old Mosque and the Roman Bath and in a very easily accessible place in the center of Tarsus. Even if it seems like it has lost its old charm when there are no umbrellas, I recommend it because of the possibility to see many beautiful examples of handicrafts and shop when you go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Güzel umutlarla belki eski Tarsus günleri gibi olur umuduyla açılmış ancak pekte öyle olamamış çarşı. Bir zamanlar Şemsiyeli sokak olarak adı çıkmıştı ama şemsiyeler hava koşullarına dayanamadı. Elbette bazı, güzel esnaflar mevcut. Ancak çarşı olarak pek tutmadı malesef. Lokasyon olarakta biraz uzakta kaldı.
The bazaar was opened with the hope that it would be like the old Tarsus days with good hopes. It was once known as an umbrella street, but the umbrellas could not withstand the weather. Certainly, there are some nice tradesmen. Unfortunately, the bazaar did not hold much. The location was a bit far away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kucuk, nostaljik ve oldukca sicak bir esnafi var. Etkinlikler duzenlenebiliyor. Tarihi olmasi da ayri bir guzellik. Size tavsiyem Tarsus a gidip burayi gormeden gelmeyin. Orada ki sanat galerisini ziyaret etmenizi onerim.
It has a small, nostalgic and very hot trades. Events can be organized. Its history is also a beautiful beauty. My advice to you is not to go to Tarsus and see here. I suggest you visit the art gallery there.
