Şıhlı, 1966 yılında belediyelik bir kasaba iken belediyelerin kapanması sonrasında Develi ilçesinin mahallesi olmuştur. Develi'ye 45 km uzaklıktadır. II.Abdulhamid'in yaptırmış oldugu Hamidiye Medresesi bulunmaktadir. 19m derinliğe sahip Şıhlı göleti de bulunmaktadır. Medresesi tarihi bir yapı olup 28 odasi ve bir muderris odasi bulunmaktadır, aslına uygun olarak restorasyonu yapılmıştır. Doğasıyla da ziyarete değer güzel bir köyümüzdür.
 Şıhlı Mahallesi,
While Şıhlı was a municipality in 1966, it became the neighborhood of Develi district after the closure of the municipalities. Develi is 45 km away. There is Hamidiye Madrasa built by Abdulhamid II. There is also Şıhlı pond with a depth of 19m. The madrasah is a historical building, it has 28 rooms and a muderris room, it was restored in accordance with the original. It is a beautiful village worth visiting with its nature.
