Side Archaeological Museum

Good visit if you are driving through. City itself is free but additional charge for the Theatre and the museum. Nice scenic walk to the apollo temple.

We loved this museum. It's very compact and has easy access to all exhibits. It has indoor and outdoor exhibitions. Descriptions are multilingual and handy to grasp.

Museum quite literally built into ancient Roman ruins ??? This museum is phenomenal with all of its sculptures, sarcophaguses, and paintings. What's even more impressive is this museum is housed inside of actual ruins! For me this is very unique and I've never seen anything quite like this before. Absolutely adore this idea though! This is recycling done right ??? A few of the statues in here are more than world-class. You could say these are my favorite not just in Turkey buuuut in any museum I've ever seen anywhere else in the world ??? There are a few museum cats hanging out in the courtyard looking for some kitty love... One cat was on the prowl trying to snag a bird off one of the ancient statues outside. Not something you get to see everyday haha It was an admiral attempt by the kitten buuut a feeble one as the bird was toying with the cat letting him get close and then flying over to the next statue and the next and the next ???? Huge thumbs up to this museum ?

Small but very rich Museum! Never miss visiting it while visiting Side. The statues and pieces there complement the ones in Antalya Museum, so you must visit that one too, to get a full understanding of the history of the city. If you have the museum card, you can enter for free, otherwise you will pay 18 TL.

This is a place you could stop in All day just looking around and seeing the historic items

A must place to visit in Side, Manavgat. If you are planning to visit both Side antique theater and side museum you can get a combined ticket for 80 Turkish lira. You will find yourself in a time machine. From past to present, Romans to Seljuk Turks, Macedonia of Alexander the Great to Byzantium empire you will be able to find pretty much anything related to these old civilizations that has passed through this soils.
