★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Şeytan Castle (Turkish: Şeytan Kalesi, Georgian: ქაჯის ციხე) is a castle in the Çıldır district of the Ardahan Province in Turkey.
While there is no certain evidence regarding the castle's builders, it can be inferred, by comparison with the architecture of other castles in the area, that the castle was built by the Urartians. Ekvtime Takaishvili reported the existence of a prison in the castle. It is mentioned in the chronicles of Alp Arslan in 1064.[1]

The castle is quite secluded, no stops or people around, not even someone to take care of it and makes a good location where you can spend the night if you have a tent with yourself. Choosing the castle as your start point, you can begin exploring the canyon around it.
