★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Anadolu'da yetişen büyük velîlerden. Halvetiyye yolunun kolu olan Şemsiyye (Sivâsîyye) nin kurucusudur. Babasının ismi Ebü'l-Berekât Muhammed'dir. Asıl ismi Ahmed, künyesi Ebü's-Senâ, lakabı Şemseddîn'dir. Kara Şems diye şöhret bulmuştur. 1519 (H.926) senesinde Tokat'ın Zile ilçesinde doğdu. 1597 (H.1006) senesinde Sivas'ta vefât etti. Sivas'ta Meydan Câmii avlusunda medfûn olup, kabri ziyâret edilmektedir.
Türk-İslâm târihindeki meşhûr üç Şems'ten birisidir. Bunlardan birincisiMevlânâ Celâleddîn-i Rûmî'nin hocası olanŞems-i Tebrîzî, ikincisi İstanbul'un fethinde Fâtih Sultan MehmedHanın yanında bulunan Akşemseddîn, üçüncüsü de Üçüncü Mehmed Han ile birlikte Eğri Seferine katılan Kara Şems'tir. Üçü de yüksek dereceler sâhibidirler.
 One of the great parents who grew up in Anatolia. He is the founder of Şemsiyye (Sivâsîyye), a branch of the Halvetiyye road. His father's name is Ebu'l-Berekât Muhammed. His real name is Ahmed, his surname is Ebü's-Senâ, his nickname is Şemseddin. He found fame as Black Shams. He was born in 1519 (H.926) in the Zile district of Tokat. He died in Sivas in 1597 (H.1006). He is buried in the courtyard of Meydan Mosque in Sivas and his grave is visited.
He is one of the three famous Shams in Turkish-Islamic history. The first of these is Şems-i Tebrîzî, who was the teacher of Mevlânâ Celâleddîn-i Rûmî, the second is Akşemseddin who was next to Fatih Sultan Mehmed Han during the conquest of Istanbul, and the third is Black Şems, who participated in the Eğri Expedition with the Third Mehmed Khan. All three have high degrees.

Halvetiyye tarikatının Şemsiyye kolunun kurucusu arif bir zat olup Zileli'dir. Yedi yaşında iken babasının mürşidi Amasyalı Şeyh Hacı Hızır Efendi Hazretleri'nin duasını almak üzere babası ile birlikte Amasya'ya gidip Şeyhı Hazretleri'nin teveccühüne mazhar olduktan sonra memleketine döndü. Daha sonra da Tokat'a giderek meşhur âlimlerden Arakiyecizâde Şemseddin Efendi'den tahsile başladı. Daha sonra da İstanbul'a gelerek tahsilini tamamladı. Tarikat bakımından Cumapazarlı Musühiddin Efendi Hazretleri ile Şirvanlı Medüddin Efendi Hazretleri'nden feyiz aldı. Daha sonra Sivas'a giderek tedris ve irşad hizmetleri ile meşgul oldu. "Huh felek şems-i dolandı nur ile" mısrasının delaleti olan hicri 1006 (m.1597) yılında vefat etti. Kabri Sivas'ta, Meydan Camii avlusunda bulunmaktadır. Eğri seferinde duası kabul buyrulan Allah dostlarındandır.

The founder of the Şemsiyye branch of the Halvetiyye sect is an arif person and Zileli. When he was seven years old, he went to Amasya with his father to receive the prayer of Sheikh Hacı Hızır Efendi, the master of his father, Amasya. Afterwards, he went to Tokat and started education from the famous scholars Arakiyecizâde Şemseddin Efendi. Then he came to Istanbul and completed his education. In terms of sect, he received support from His Beatitude Musühiddin Efendi and his Meduddin Efendi from Şirvan. Later he went to Sivas and became busy with tedris and irşad services. "Huh felek şems-i entangled with the light" verse of the verse of the satire in 1006 (m.1597) passed away. His grave is located in the courtyard of Meydan Mosque in Sivas. He is one of the friends of Allah who is commanded to accept his prayer in the curve.
