★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mardin'de Gezilecek önemli Yerlerden biri olarak gösterilen Şehidiye Medresesi 13'üncü yüzyılın başlarında Artuklu Sultanı Melik Nasreddin Artuk Aslan tarafından yaptırıldığı sanılmaktadır. Güney yönünde iki nefli mescidin yer aldığı revaklı avlulu ve eyvanlı medrese şeması veren yapıdaki bir çok değişiklik, onarım ve eklemelerle medresenin orijinal durumundan pek az şey kalmıştır. Yapının yıkılmış olan minaresi 1916/17 yıllarında Ermeni Mimar Serkis Lole tarafından eklektik bir üslupla ve iskelesiz olarak inşa edilmiştir. Medresede en çok oynanmış olan yerlerden biri camidir. İki enine nefli ve ilk yapıldığında oldukça süslü bir cepheye sahip olduğu anlaşılan cami kısmı devamlı değişmiştir.
The Şehidiye Madrasa, which is shown as one of the important places to visit in Mardin, is thought to be built by the Artuklu Sultan Melik Nasreddin Artuk Aslan in the early 13th century. With many changes, repairs and additions to the structure, which gives a madrasa scheme with a portico and a courtyard with a two naved mosque in the south direction, little remains of the original state of the madrasa. The collapsed minaret of the building was built in 1916/17 by the Armenian architect Serkis Lole in an eclectic style and without a pier. One of the most played places in the madrasa is the mosque. The part of the mosque, with two transverse naves and a rather ornate façade when it was first built, has constantly changed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 13. Yüzyılın başlarında Melik Nasreddin Artuk Aslan tarafından yaptırıldığı varsayılan tarihi cami ve medrese Eski Mardin'in sembollerinden biri. Tüm heybetiyle Mezopotamya ovasına karşı bir abide gibi yükselen cami minaresi üzerindeki taş işçiliği ile dikkat çekiyor. Bu ince işçilik cami içerisindeki bazı kolonlarda da kendini gösteriyor. Cami içerisindeki manevi hava çok güzel. Cami anayola bitişik fakat girişi yol seviyesinin altında kalmış. Şehidiyye Camii ve medrese gece ışıklandırmalar ile daha da güzel bir görünüme kavuşuyor. Mardin'e yolunuz düşerse mutlaka ziyaret etmenizi öneririm.
The historical mosque and madrasah, which is supposed to have been built by Melik Nasreddin Artuk Aslan at the beginning of the 13th century, is one of the symbols of Old Mardin. The mosque, which rises like a monument against the Mesopotamian plain with all its majesty, draws attention with the stonework on its minaret. This fine workmanship is also evident in some of the columns inside the mosque. The spiritual atmosphere inside the mosque is very beautiful. The mosque is adjacent to the main road, but its entrance is below the road level. The Şehidiyye Mosque and the madrasa gain an even more beautiful appearance with night lighting. If you go to Mardin, I definitely recommend you to visit it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mardin'in en gösterişli yapılarından biri. Özellikle taçkapısı ve minaresi muazzam. Mardin'de görülmesi gereken yapılardan biri. Minare yivli bir gövdeye sahip. Mardin yapılarındaki minareler içerisinde en süsleme olarak en özel minare. Taçkapısı sıkışık bir alanda kalmış. Bir kafe ile medrese duvarı arasından merdivenle inilerek giriliyor. Bu taçkapının gösterişine engel oluyor. Avluda ayrıca büyük boyutlu bir çeşme bölümü var.
One of the most spectacular buildings of Mardin. Especially its portal and minaret are magnificent. It is one of the must-see structures in Mardin. The minaret has a fluted body. It is the most special minaret among the minarets in Mardin buildings. Its portal is stuck in a cramped area. It is entered by going down the stairs between a cafe and the madrasa wall. This hinders the display of the portal. There is also a large fountain section in the courtyard.
