Its interesting place but need better care, especially garden! But it's worth no visit to learn about doctors and medicine in that times. Information is very useful!

This museum is number one in my list of worst museums, unfortunately one that's in memoriam of the most important figure in the history of medicine "Sabuncuoglu Sherefeddin". The great surgeon is famous for his invaluable illustrated book on surgery, animal experiments, human experiments on poisons and antidotes he carried on himself. One of the pioneers of positive science, treatment of several physical and mental illnesses with sound, music and plants. His several surgery equipments are badly reproduced, his drawings are copied in the most childish way, Turkish text on billboards lack Turkish characters, English translation does not exist, some plants are exhibited in the front yard while most of them are dry dead, some do not exist, some are misplaced, and the building is restored with bricks sort of Ytong. Beautiful carvings on the portal are fortunately still present to prove that the building is actually genuine. Silicon figures are ugly as usual, gift shop selling gifts made in China, a so called "multimedia room" starts to speak with a loud distorted sound upon detecting motion, so constantly and repeatedly speaks "I'm Sabuncuoğlu Şerefeddin, right now I'm doing blah blah surgery on my patient" Another room with kiosks is yet another fiasco, where the screens are placed in a non aligned way. Multimedia material is the least readable I have seen. An animation that is supposed to be played on TV does not play. TV is just placed on the wall and I guess it s hard to turn it on every morning. A very brilliant representation of how a valuable historical figure can be obliterated. Very badly done.
