★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kütahya'nın Saray Mahallesi'nde 1920 Kasım'ında doğdu. Yakupoğulları'ndan Hacı Halil Ağa ile Şefika Hanım'ın oğludur. Resme olan alâkası henüz küçük yaşlarda resimli kitapları uzun uzun incelemesiyle başladı. İlk tahsiline 1927 yılında Derviş Paşa İlkokulu'nda başlayan Yakupoğlu, resimlerin birkaçını okul salonlarında sergiliyor, diğer derslerinde de başarılı oluyordu
He was born in the Saray District of Kütahya in November 1920. He is the son of Hacı Halil Ağa and Şefika Hanım from Yakupoğulları. His interest in painting started with a long study of picture books at an early age. Yakupoğlu, who started his primary education at Derviş Paşa Primary School in 1927, exhibited some of the paintings in the school halls and was successful in other classes.
