Kendisi de 900 ün üzerinde yazma eseri kütüphane ye bağışlamıştır Daha önce Kayseri'de açılan kütüphanelerin sonucusudur. Bu kütüphane yapıldıktan sonra Kayseri de bulunan diğer kütüphanelerin kitapları buraya taşınmıştır.
It was built in 1796 by Katip Mehmet Raşit Efendi and put into service. He also donated over 900 manuscripts to the library. It is the result of libraries opened in Kayseri. After this library was built, books of other libraries in Kayseri were moved here.
